Henri-Lloyd and Clean Sailors partnership

Henri-Lloyd, the renowned lifestyle and sailing clothing brand, and not-for-profit Clean Sailors are proud to announce their partnership to help promote ocean conservation topics and opportunities within the global sailing community.

Launched in July 2020, Clean Sailors’ mission is to set a new standard of cleaner sailing within the global sailing community. Work includes campaigning for legislation to better protect our ocean, education, advice and outreach on conservation opportunities within the sailing and marine communities and sharing scientific research on issues facing our global waters.

Since its inception in 1963, Henri-Lloyd has supported and championed sailors, explorers and pioneers in pushing boundaries, including Sir Francis Chichester, Sir Robin Knox-Johnson, Dame Naomi James, Shirley Robertson, Chay Blythe, Sir Ben Ainslie and Sir Ranulph Fiennes, as well as being a long-standing supplier of technical clothing to the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.

Through their partnership, Henri-Lloyd and Clean Sailors will work together to further inspire, engage and educate sailors all over the world in ocean conservation and activism

The launch of their partnership sees Henri-Lloyd supporting the first series of the Clean Sailors podcast: 12-episodes hosted by Clean Sailors founder, Holly Manvell, in conversation with sailing and marine experts, innovators, inventors and activists, all working towards the health of our seas. The podcast launches on 15 July 2021 on www.cleansailors.com and on all major platforms including Spotify and iTunes.

On supporting Clean Sailors, Graham Allen, CEO of Henri-Lloyd, comments:

“As a brand that is rooted in the Oceans and has the value of ‘striving for sustainability’ at its very core, we are delighted to be supporting the Clean Sailors movement. We love the focus and the attitude that Clean Sailors exudes. Their philosophy of being a positive disruptor in order to bring about change is inspiring.”

Holly Manvell, Clean Sailors founder, said:

“Henri-Lloyd has such a strong legacy throughout their history for supporting adventure, sailing and a pioneering spirit, so we are excited and delighted to be joining forces with them to help power our mission for clean sailing and cleaner seas. We can’t wait to share what we’ve got planned and look forward to what our teams, ideas and philosophies combined can achieve.”
